These terms cover use of preprompt.org, the PrePrompt Chrome extension, the dashboard, and the backend API (together, “the Service”). The code is MIT-licensed at github.com/Preprompt-ai/preprompt. By using the Service you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
1. What the Service is
PrePrompt rewrites your prompt before you send it to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity. The rewriter runs server-side, with results placed back into the same chat textarea via the Chrome extension. The dashboard shows your usage and plan. The API is intended for use by the official extension and integrations we ship; reverse-engineered usage is not supported.
2. Eligibility
You must be 13 or older to use the Service. If you’re using PrePrompt on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
3. Accounts
- You’re responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Share an account, share a problem.
- One person, one account. Don’t create multiple accounts to bypass the free-tier quota.
- You can delete your account anytime by emailing hello@preprompt.org. We’ll purge within 30 days.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to:
- Generate or rewrite prompts that violate the underlying LLM provider’s policies (Anthropic in our case).
- Build something that targets children, generates CSAM, or facilitates real-world violence, harassment, or fraud.
- Scrape, mirror, or republish the Service to compete with us directly.
- Probe, attack, or stress-test the API beyond the documented rate limits. If you want higher limits for a real use case, email us.
- Submit content you don’t have the rights to submit (someone else’s code, someone else’s private writing, etc.).
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section. We’ll tell you why.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the prompts you submit and the rewrites you send. We claim no ownership of either. We process them only to deliver the Service (see the privacy policy).
6. Plans, billing, and quota
The current plans and quotas are listed on the pricing page. The Free plan is the way to try the product without a card. Paid plans are billed monthly in USD via Stripe. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We don’t offer pro-rated refunds for partial months.
7. Changes to the Service
We’re an early-stage product and ship changes often. We may add, change, or remove features. We’ll give reasonable notice in the dashboard or by email for changes that affect your plan, quotas, or stored data.
8. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. LLM outputs are statistical — PrePrompt does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any rewrite or any answer that the downstream LLM generates from it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrePrompt’s aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. In no event are we liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.
10. Third-party services
The Service depends on Anthropic, Supabase, Railway, Vercel, Stripe, Sentry, PostHog, and Resend (see the privacy policy for what each does). Their terms apply to the parts of the Service they provide.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service anytime; deleting your account closes the relationship. We may terminate or suspend access if you violate these terms, abuse the system, or fail to pay. We’ll tell you why and give you a chance to export your data unless the violation is severe.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Delaware.
13. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms in a way that meaningfully affects you, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and email signed-up users at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
